Smartphones with best features at lowest possible prices have become the latest trend. In race are a lot of brands like Oppo, Motorola, One Plus, Samsung. They offer phones in various price ranges making it easier for customer to pick the one which is more affordable.

But one question remains, with so many smartphones that you’ve seen in your price range coming from different brands, how do you make the decision of buying one?

To help you choose and make this decision better, I am here with a list of mobile phones that I personally think are the best and also the information on why they made it to the list.

OnePlus 2 (19,999) (Quality, Flagship, Performance) (Dual) (Best smartphone under 20k)

What if a phone could look good, be powerful, and not cost a crapload? – That exactly what OnePlus is. It’s sharp camera, powerful processor and enduring, quick-charging battery make a knockout combo when you factor in its low price. Bottomline, it’s the best android phone you can buy at this price and is Amazon exclusive.

OnePlus 2 features include:

Processor : Snapdragon 810 v2.1(Adreno 430 GPU)

64 GB internal memory(no external SD)

4 GB RAM.5.5 inch, Dual-LED Laser focused OIS (13M rear camera, 0.3 micron sensor for low light, 5MP front camera

1080p Full HD

OxygenOS 3.0.2

Xiaomi Mi 5 (19,999) (Quality, Performance) (Dual)

The Mi 5 sits at the top of Xiaomi’s Android phone line, where its devilishly fast performance and great all-round design place it as a true competitor to the likes of the S7, G5 and iPhone 6s – at half the price!

Xiaomi Mi 5 features include:

Processor : Snapdragon 810 v2.1(Adreno 530 GPU)

32GB ROM(Non-expandable)|3GB RAM

1080p Full HD

16MP rear and 4MP front camera

With the 820, Qualcomm has certainly improved upon the heating issues that were plaguing the Snapdragon 810 chipset. Also, the return of its custom cores is a welcome change giving superior scores in benchmark tests. If you want a fast phone, which also looks elegant and has a good camera go for the Mi 5.

Oppo F1s (17,000) (Selfie, Design) (Dual)

The F1s does have a charm of its own and we can see why some would opt for it over the usual suspects. It has a classy design, is built very well, and offers quite a few modern features. The display is also good (although full-HD resolution wouldn’t have hurt) and the cameras tend to deliver on their claim.
Its features include:
3 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128 GB

5.5 inch HD Display

13MP Primary Camera | 16MP Front

3075 mAh Battery

MT6750 64-bit Processor

The Oppo F1s is a top phone for those after a budget handset that most people won’t be familiar with, especially as it can pass for something a lot more expensive. Its software may take a while to get used to though. Also there aren’t a lot of smartphone makers that focus on creating selfie smartphones, but it seems that Oppo is going to stick to it as it just launched the F1s which yet again gets the ‘Selfie Expert’ Moniker.

Moto G4 Plus (14,000) (Quality, Display, Camera, Budget) (Dual)

Motorola made an impressive comeback in the smartphone market, especially in India, with its affordable smartphones the Moto E and the Moto G. The Moto G went on to become the benchmark of budget smartphones by bringing a good balance of design, features and performance. The smartphone was also praised for having vanilla Android experience along with timely updates, something which a number of smartphone players ignored.

Moto G4 plus features include:

3 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128GB

16MP Primary Camera | 5MP Front

5.5 inch HD Display

3000 mAh battery

Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 | Adreno 405

Moto has done a good job in updating its hardware as well as some software (camera app) to make it one of the best options under the 15k budget.

HTC Desire 828 (16,000) (Quality, Memory, Music) (Dual)

HTC desire 828

When it comes to branding HTC is one of its kind. HTC 828 offers a great display, wonderful sound, descent for Multitasking and Camera is lightning fast.

HTC Desire 828 is wonderful mobile and also gives you great experience of having a quality mobile with you all the time. there is only one thing lagging which is design. It is best phone you can surely enjoy it.

GIONEE S6S (17,490) (Selfie, Design) (Dual)

Gionee S6s was launched in August 2016 and is an ideal smartphone for photography enthusiasts in 20K price range. The Gionee S6s comes with an 8 Mega pixel front selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and a dedicated front flash. The rear camera is also good with Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and a 13 MP camera lens.

The smartphone has a 5.5 Inch Full HD display which is better compared to the Oppo F1S, I have mentioned in this list. The smartphone comes with metallic design and has a circular fingerprint reader at the back of the device.

MEIZU MX5 (18,999) (Battery, Camera) (Dual)

If you are looking for the ultimate performance smartphone under Rs. 20,000 the Meizu MX 5 will elate you. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795, 8x Cortex A53 @ 2.2GHz and also ghas the PowerVR G6200 @ 700MHz GPU.

The processor has great performance and can burn out any new Android game easily or whatever you wish to throw at it.

Asus Zenfone 3 Laser (Design, Performance) (Dual)

When Asus announced the Zenfone 3 at Computex 2016, everyone was excited to see how the new Zenfone had matured into what many would call a mid-range smartphone.

While the flagship capabilities were reserved for the Zenfone Deluxe with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and 6GB RAM, all eyes were indeed on the Zenfone 3, its lower priced sibling.

Asus Zenfone 3 features include:

4 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM | Expandable Upto 128 GB

5.5 inch Full HD Display

13MP Primary Camera | 8MP Front

3000 mAh Battery

Qualcomm Octa Core Snapdragon 430 64-bit Processor

One of the best mid range smartphone you can buy.

LeEco Le 2 (13,000) (Specs, Budget) (Dual)

leeco-le-2-pro-goes-officialLeEco’s Le 2 Features include:

3 GB RAM | 32 GB ROM |

5.5 inch Full HD Display

16MP Primary Camera | 8MP Front

3000 mAh Li-Ion Polymer Battery

Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 Processor

The display is sharp and colors appear natural, although with a slight bias towards the blue spectrum. The phone is sufficiently bright, although the adaptive brightness feature isn’t the best. Watching movies on the display is a pleasure. Although the contrast isn’t the best, I still found it to be quite good.

In the sub-Rs 15,000 price bracket, the Le 2 certainly emerges as the phone to go for. As compared to its closest competitor — the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 — the Le 2 offers slightly better performance and comes with the Le Supertainment bouquet which gives it an edge. In terms of camera performance and battery life though, we would still go with the Redmi Note 3. If content is what entices you and you are willing to invest an additional amount for the headset, then go for the LeEco Le 2.

Lenovo Vibe X3 (Design, Battery) (Strong contender) (Dual)

Lenovo has started off 2016 by releasing two phones, with the Vibe X3 being its flagship offering complementing the mid-ranger K4 Note. While in terms of design, both the phones seem somewhat similar, it is what is present on the inside of the Vibe X3 that makes it stand apart.

Lenovo Vibe X3 features include:

3 GB RAM | 32./64 GB ROM |

5.5 inch Full HD Display

21MP Primary Camera | 8MP Front

3500 mAh Li-Ion Polymer Battery

Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808

Lenovo Vibe X3 is a good phone under the Rs 20,000 price bracket. The Vibe X3 performs well on most fronts except the camera, where we feel that the camera is capable of better image quality. It surely needs some software updates on the camera app to tone down on the noise processing.

In terms of performance, battery life, build quality, the Vibe X3 impresses. The audio output is definitely among the best we have heard on a phone so far. So yes, the audio does give it an edge over competition.

At this budget, you should be looking at atleast full HD(1080p) display. And HD video recording. Best phones are those that come with 8xx processors, 3000mAh or above battery and 4G mobile.

The clear winner here is OnePlus 2. Thanks for reading my article. Suggestions on improvements or better phones that can fit into this list are most welcome.
